- "The first event to take place was the downhill, on February 9" - use d/m/y format
- "Both were some distance off the winner, Alberto Tomba of Italy who had a time of 2:06.98" - maybe behind would be better instead of "off"?

This meets the GA criteria as it is. I couldn't find anything wrong with it this time!
