[edit]Pedro Sosa heard the boos from the crowd, but it didn't change his mind about what had just happened in the ring at the Mobile Civic Center Monday.
Sosa won an unpopular decision, beating Semajay Thomas of Chicago, one of the tournament favorites, by a narrow score of 20-18 in his first-round match at the U.S. Olympic Boxing Trials.
"Some of the crowd thought it was a bad decision, but I thought I won the fight," Sosa said. "Maybe they thought I spent too much time on the ropes." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.255.47.87 (talk)
