Anya/Olaf Language
[edit]Does anyone know what language Anya and Olaf are speaking in the flashbacks, and whether it's accurate, in terms of the translation (assuming that they're not speaking gibberish)? I'd like to see it added to the trivia section, if anyone knows. Zekintha 04:58, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- I believe that it's Swedish, and that they're speaking it phonetically. That's according to the DVD commentary.--Nalvage 12:30, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- As a Swede i can with certainty say that most of it is gibberish, very badly pronounced or trying to sound like anciant nordic because 70%-80% of the words you dont understand.--Zeven90 (talk) 10:45, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
- I think it's actually Old Norse, with a strong American accent. It is certainly not Swedish, but as you say, it's partly intelligible because Swedish is of course descended from Old Norse, which means that a few of the words are similar. --Bonadea (talk) 22:31, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Buffy705.jpg
[edit]Image:Buffy705.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Anya's Amulet?
[edit]Buffy mentioned that she would do any alternative to killing Anya, but there was not one. Could they not have destroyed her amulet as they have done in the past? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.69.21.195 (talk) 02:45, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
