Gosh, self-report studies are used for all kinds of research other than criminology. The relative validity of research absed on self-report vs. research based on observed behavior is a pretty central debate in all sociology and psych! DanB DanD 22:14, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
Yes, I must say, this entry is not encyclopedia-worthy. It is a little like if the Wiki entry on pencils said "pencils are used extensively in writing French homework." True... but a deceptively limited perception. Self-report data is used extensively in all of the social sciences.
blinding
