Unnecessary Article
[edit]Seeing as this earthquake doesn't appear to be a big deal, the question must be asked: is this article really necessary? I think not. joturner 01:35, 15 November 2005 (UTC)
True I created this too early when I thought this was something big but this earthquake isnt the case.If this goes to AFD I guarrantee you its going to be kept so leave it there--JAranda | [[User talk:Aranda56|watz sup]] 01:39, 15 November 2005 (UTC)
Change title to 'Seismicity of the Sanriku coast'
[edit]This article should be named 'Seismicity of the Sanriku coast' as seismology refers to the scientific study of earthquakes and other things seismic, whereas 'seismicity' (for some reason this redirects to seismology at the moment, need to change that to 'earthquake') refers to the occurrence of earthquakes, which is obviously what this page is about. I'll do this in a few days unless someone objects. Mikenorton (talk) 18:20, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
Merge with Sanriku Coast

- I disagree with the opposition voiced below, because as I pointed out, in their present form the content of the two articles is completely redundant. But it would seem it's a dead proposal anyway, so I withdraw it.--Father Goose (talk) 08:55, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
Would it be all right if I (or we) merged this article with Sanriku Coast? What's in that article right now is almost identical to what's in this one, only shorter.--Father Goose (talk) 09:30, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
- I don't think that a merge is the best option - the Seismicity article content would overwhelm the Coast article. Mikenorton (talk) 20:55, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose for reason suggested by Mikenorton. --Tenmei (talk) 00:47, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
