In line with external linking policy this link was removed from the main secured loan page. This is a confusing area for those looking for additional finance and the link points to an excellent guide written in clear English which helps to demystify secured loans in the UK market.

Following the advice of Wikipedia editors the link to the resource has been posted here to gauge opinion to the usefulness and validity of the article. All comments appreciated.

Merge suggestion

[edit]

I suggest we merge secured debt to this article because they cover near the same material and this article already has a rating and classification. EECavazos 22:51, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I concur. Be bold and go ahead! :) --Gimlei (talk to me) 13:38, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Names and nations

[edit]

If the UK and the US use different naming systems for secured debt/loan then a generalized intro should be given that is not country-specific. Beyond the intro there should be sections devoted to the formalities of the UK and the US.EECavazos 15:48, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Revise Subheading for Clarity?

[edit]

The subheading "Types" does not describe the material below it. For instance, foreclosure cannot be said to be a "type" of secured loan but is rather a process that can affect secured loans that enter default. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.190.68.242 (talk) 22:09, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
