Talk:Secrets and Lies (30 Rock)/GA1

GA Review
[edit]Looking good, but here are a few suggestions to nudge the article along to GA status:
- Unbold quotes around episode title.
- The episode first aired on December 6, 2007 on the NBC network, in the United States - don't really need a comma.
- she tells him that he has won a Pacific Rim Emmy Award, for his work on TGS with Tracy Jordan - don't need a comma.
- Harvard alumnus, "Toofer" tells him to take it off - no comma.
- Guest star James Carville was also unable to attend, an unnamed 30 Rock writer filled in for him - need an "and" or a "so" or some other conjunction after "attend", or just an "as" at the beginning of the sentence.
- smaller, "bit", parts - don't need the second comma.
- James Carville, who's presence as confidant to Jack not only made sense - "Whose" is correct, not "who's", so stick a {{sic}} in there behind it. Two sics in one review! Tsk, tsk :)
- The fair use rationales for both screenshots say the image is for identification of the episode and to accompany critical commentary. First, there only needs to be one image for "easy identification", and second, there is no critical commentary to accompany either image. I'd say get rid of one - preferably the top one in the infobox, as that could be taking place in any episode and isn't a particularly visually-descriptive shot.
- And, whichever image stays, there shouldn't be a full-stop/period at the end of the caption as both captions are sentence fragments, not complete sentences. See WP:MOS#Captions for details.
That's about it - good luck with making changes, the article will be on hold for a week. —97198 talk 06:47, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
- I took care of everything except for the image problem; give Jamie some input. I like the picture in the plot section better, funnier to look at. Just one more question, could "Toofer"'s be changed to "Toofer's"? Would that make it gramatically incorrect, or would it be okay? Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 07:48, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
- I personally would stick with "Toofer"'s - kind of like putting punctuation outside quotation marks. —97198 talk 10:49, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
- I agree about the images now that I come to think about it so I removed the infobox image and added the fake awards image. -- [User]Jamie JCA[Talk] 13:14, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
- Alright, thanks. I'll go ahead and promote the article. —97198 talk 06:20, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
