[edit]Why do people keep saying Transformers does not take place in the 616 Marvel Universe? There are CONSTANT references to it - Spider-man, SHIELD, Roxxon, the Savage Land...
The only reason people think otherwise is because of a "universe number" Death's Head was given - but who's to say his system is the same as ours, or that it was just that particular encoutner that was "Out of continuity"?
- Well it's significantly more than that. Part of the problem is that after the original limited series (and frankly even during it) there weren't many overlaps with the Marvel Universe. Now given that several stories revolve around the way humans react to the Transformers or how the Transformers seek to utilise special resources you have to wonder why the superheroes and villains don't show up. And sometimes this is core to the story - why for example in US #23 (UK #94-95) did Circuit Breaker feel it was essential to make a "deal with the devil" in working with the Autobots to defeat the Decepticon Battlechargers in New York City? Surely if this was a world with the Fantastic Four and Avengers then they could have taken them out? Or to take other story elements, why does Triple I resort to the whole Robot Master set-up rather than use an existing supervillain? Why does Triple I resort to a military unit like RAAT rather than a superhero unit? (And much later why don't the Neo Knights include established heroes?) How on earth could the Underbase powered Starscream attack New York without encountering powerful superheroes? Why don't the Autobots try to make contact with the likes of Reed Richards, who might be able to help them? Where is the issue where "Secret Wars II continues..." (ROM and the Micronauts both had them.) And so forth...
- Had the Transformers been set in the main Marvel universe then invariably there would have been stories exploiting that (witness ROM), and the course of the Transformers saga would have been different. For that matter arguably so would events in the Marvel universe - you can't not see Dr Doom trying to utilise the Decepticons for instance. Timrollpickering 00:31, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
Circuit Breaker saved the Marvel Universe?
[edit]In another wiki (transformers.wikia.com/wiki/Circuit_Breaker), it's claimed that Circuit Breaker saved the entire Marvel Universe from the Beyonder. Having not read this series in a long, long time, can someone clarify Circuit Breaker's level of influence on the events of Secret Wars II? Wyntyr 14:53, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
- I know this is a really really late response, but still. She just appears in three panels where she explains her origins to the Beyonder. Gurko 02:57, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
New Avengers: Illuminati #3
[edit]This issue deals directly with the Beyonder and takes place as Secret Wars II is going on (as indicated by Spidey, Iron fist and Luke Cage standing by a building turned into gold). I think it should be added, although I understand if it should wait to be touched upon in another comic. 65.42.86.31 19:51, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Deadpool Team-Up
[edit]Would the Deadpool issue really count as a tie-in? Seems more like a hommage/parody. 惑乱 Wakuran (talk) 15:45, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
