I enjoyed how you included his inaugural speech on the page. It meant that I didn't have to go look for it somewhere else. There is a lot of information on this page. Very informative! Thanks for the comment! Bill Clinton was impeached on February 12th 1999, just two years after his second inauguration, due to his affair with Monica Lewinsky. HLR95 (talk) 14:29, May 31st 2011 (UTC)

Question and Comments

I agree with Mr.CLinton about the issue of racial unity in that society should work towards peacefully living amongst people of different ethnicities. The video of Mr.Clinton's inauguration is effective in that it provides a visual/audio presentation and was easier to follow the speech.

Here are a few questions: Were there any aspect(s) of the entire inauguration that was similar and/or different to others before his time or even his first inauguration? or was it unique in any way like the inauguration of J F. Kennedy? Also, did Mr.Clinton keep true to his word about the topics covered in his speech (i.e. political and racial unity)? if so, how? if not, why? Lastly, how was the poem "Of History and Hope", especially relavant or significant to the inauguration itself and the time period of the inauguration? Vivpat (talk) 18:21, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The second inauguration of Bill Clinton was one of the few inaugurations that featured poetry as well as being the only inauguration that contained a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He tried to keep to his promises in his speech however he did not have much time before his impeachment in 1999. "Of History and Hope" was relevant to the inauguration as it addressed Americas past as a country. HLR95 (talk) 10:16, June 1st 2011 (UTC)
