Partial list of ships in Commodore Perry's squadron
[edit]I found these vessels while researching a related article. There were 11 U.S. Revenue Cutters in Perry's squadron, a partial list : USRC McClane (the steamer) (1845), USRC Forward (1842), USRC Legare (1844), USRC Washington (1837), USRC Ewing (1841) and USRC McCulloch (1897). Following are some of the U.S. Navy warships: USS Mississippi (1841), USS Stromboli (1846), USS Vesuvius (1846), USS Vixen (1846), USS Bonito (1846), USS Spitfire (1846), USS Reefer (1846), USS Scourge (1846), USS Petrel (1846), USS Scorpion (1847), USS Nonata (?), USS Comer (?) and USS Bigelow (?). Many ships have articles here in Wikipedia.
