Sebastian Cabot

Sebastian Cabot was well-known to residents of Sidney, British Columbia when I moved there in 1970. Dour, taciturn, and old-looking for a man in his fifties, he was often seen shopping with his wife Kay. Their car was a turret-style British model from the late forties or early fifties -- an Austin, IIRC.

Not a "butler."

Giles French referred to himself as a "gentleman's gentleman," not a butler. Changed. PatrickLMT (talk) 03:54, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

Race driver?

I remember seeing him on some game show mentioning that he had once been a race driver. Possible angle to explore. He was talking about why he got out of it, that you had to be able to do things instinctively without thinking, that when he found himself thinking about it, he knew it was time to get out. Doing a quick Google search I don't find any mention of it.Docsavage20 (talk) 07:22, 11 March 2010 (UTC)

Wrestler

None of the newspapers accounts or articles mention that Cabot was a wrestler, only one Internet source mentions this without any reference. Does mentioning Cabot was a wrestler belong in the bio article? Cmguy777 (talk) 02:20, 22 June 2012 (UTC)

Removed from article:

"As a young man, Cabot also employed his youthful burly frame and theatrical flair for three years as a professional wrestler, however, an injury put a stop to his wrestling career."

There is no other reference then a everything2.com website that mentions Sebastian Cabot was a professional wrestler. None of the newspaper accounts mention that Cabot was in anyway a wrestler or associated with professional wrestling. Cmguy777 (talk) 20:35, 26 June 2012 (UTC)

Errol Flynn

In Devid Niven's second book about Hollywood, "Bring on the Empty Horses", in the chapter about Niven's good friend Erroll Flynn, Niven makes a point of singling out Sebastian Cabot as a crony of Flynn's who accepted many favors from him, but just walked away from Flynn when the connection was no longer useful - ie at the end of Flynn's career; never even paying back the money he owed to Flynn personally. I mention this not in the belief that it is necessarily true but was surprised not to see Flynn's name at all in the article.
