The result of the move request was: page moved to Seas (disambiguation), with no prejudice against a subsequent move to SEAS. -- JHunterJ (talk) 13:52, 21 January 2014 (UTC)
Seas → Seas (disambiguation) – I propose that the clear primary topic of seas is sea, as evidenced by countless references to seas in this context in Internet, news, and book searches. Seas should redirect to Sea. bd2412 T 20:26, 13 January 2014 (UTC)
- Support - though most of these are SEAS not seas. In ictu oculi (talk) 05:03, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
- Support plural of "sea" is primary -- 70.50.148.122 (talk) 06:44, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
- Support moving the dab to SEAS, change seas to redirect to sea ({{R to singular}}), and to make seas (disambiguation) redirect to SEAS. older ≠ wiser 13:42, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
- Support moves per User:BD2412. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:19, 15 January 2014 (UTC)
- I support the move (as proposed) but strongly oppose the proposed redirect; the article sea is actually about the world ocean. I think most people typing in "seas" are actually looking for the sort of information you'd find at List of seas. . Red Slash 16:27, 18 January 2014 (UTC)
- If you support the move as proposed, then what do you suggest we do with Seas? It cannot redirect to the disambiguation page, else it would be a malplaced disambiguation. Having the disambiguation at Seas (disambiguation means there is a primary topic. Are you suggesting that it should redirect to List of seas. I find it hard to think of contexts where one might search for a list of seas by typing "seas". What I've seen as far more likely that links are made using the plural form. older ≠ wiser 16:39, 18 January 2014 (UTC)
- You are correct, I am suggesting moving the disambiguation page and redirecting Seas not to Sea but rather List of seas. Look at the article sea. There is, as far as I see it, no way anyone would link to seas meaning the world ocean. The idea of "a sea" is not really included in that article. I can easily imagine someone writing, in our article China (let's say): "China is bordered by many seas." Which target is best for that to redirect to? Red Slash 02:34, 19 January 2014 (UTC)
- All the seas bordering China are parts of the "sea" described in the article; but moreover, to the extent that "seas" as smaller units should be discussed, this content should be in the article, Sea. bd2412 T 03:09, 19 January 2014 (UTC)
- But it ain't in that article, other than a paragraph that says "main article: List of seas", and apparently people are happy enough with sea that it got featured a couple of months ago. Red Slash 21:35, 19 January 2014 (UTC)

- The disambiguation pagges Seas and SEA should be merged into one disambiguation page.
Seas should redirect to List of seas, which I agree is more likely to be more immediately helpful to someone who types "seas", explicitly not typing "sea" --SmokeyJoe (talk) 11:08, 21 January 2014 (UTC)
