Getting links added
[edit]Why can I not update the content and link to my stie SoJones.com's Sean John page. It keeps people abreast of the latest in hip hop clothing industry news on all brands. I am not some spammer as my links are directly relevant and I'm contributing my own writings to Wikipedia. Please respond
- I'd direct you to read this:
- Wikipedia:External links
- News sites aren't linked to most articles of this type, the most they usually require is a link to the official homepage. Dubkiller 09:00, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
- Good read but does that not include the content on my site? Some of the things you have p osted under Hip Hop clothing brands now si written/copywritten by me. I do creative writing and compile knowledge I've gained over the years from tv, internet, and exclusive interviews to make what I write.
- My site also is not just news, Its relevant content that can go from biographies I put togethor, news, help shopping & discount codes provided to my site by these brands, and photos related to the brand.
- I haven't posted anything to this article. If there is copywritten information taken from your site, it should be removed. Your site seems like it's a resource for fans of those brands, but not appropriate for Wikipedia. A Wikipedia article should have all relevant information on it's own page, not a link to another page with the info. Dubkiller 17:43, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
- understood. My thoughts were that you all basically wanted us to add information and we could link back to our resources for adding the informatio. Sort of like how a book gives credit / cites sources..... So just remove my info? They don't have to leave your site for the basic info ... but they would have to for information that variates. I appreciated the links Wikipedia gave to my site but I guess you all aren't into that sort of networking which is understandable but your resources are looking shallow now that you've removed what everyone has added because you can't even get good information on here about LRG, Sean John, Rocawear, Baby Phat, Ecko, etc.... I mean... Should consider me DubKiller :-D I think one site that you get all your info from would be cool and I'll link back no problem

Founding date
[edit]How can his clothing company be founded in 1955 before Combs himself was born in 1969?? Something does not add up. The93owner (talk) 02:30, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
Unclear whether the clothing line exists
[edit]The clothing brand has been phased out at Macy's.
One understands that Combs has had legal issues of late - no idea if this is related, or whether things just come and go in the fashion world, but apparently Macy's was phasing the line out before the lawsuit. The clothing is seemingly hard to find online.
The "seanjohn" website carries no clothing line - just a statement regarding how Combs got the brand (his "name") back. Charliepenandink (talk) 21:20, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
