An 18th century name
Just a small point: The 'Arguments from Japan' section states that the international name of the sea changed from no name to the Sea of Japan... during the 17th to 20th centuries.
I don't know about 'no name'; the map in part III of Swift's Gulliver's Travels from 1726 (admittedly a fiction, but it must have been based on something) clearly labels it the 'Sea of Corea'. Make of that what you will... Moonraker12 (talk) 02:58, 3 January 2019 (UTC)

- @Wtmitchell: The second link you provided was regarding a specific committee within IHO, not IHO as a whole. It would make sense to split up the work among several groups. ···日本穣 · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 16:37, 23 July 2020 (UTC)
