Update
[edit]I have expanded the lead and Overview sections in an attempt to improve this article. I would like to mention that some sources[1] say the Screen theory bears little resemblance (or a butchered version) to Lacan's theory, which was cited here as part of its origins. I was not able to find texts that outline the evolution that led to this so I did not include this bit of information. You can send me a message if you have questions about the edit. Thanks.
