The world at his feet bit is straight out weasel but some cite for this perceived expectation would be good. Who expected this? Pundits? His club? His mum? Stuff like that is often a remnant of ye olden days of Wikipedia, when there was far fewer rules and far, far fewer people roaming about looking for opportunities to enforce them.
