[edit]Subject of this BLP is a Current elected statewide political officials of South Dakota. I would like to discuss and help resolve the issues with the templates and resolve the issues'
We have ...Advert, which is a big claim as the article is with little content, what content is advertising? Off2riorob (talk) 20:31, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- This is not a statewide official; this is a state legislator and statewide candidate. The article has been slightly de-spammed by me, but it still reeks of the campaign biography (and is badly in need of further wikification). It was created by User:Pheidepriem, presumably 19-year-old son Pete Heidepriem. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:38, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- I imagine he is a clear notable person through his position? Is he automatically notable through his position? Off2riorob (talk) 20:39, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- All state legislators (past and present) are inherently notable. --Orange Mike | Talk 21:02, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
What content do you consider to be advertising? Off2riorob (talk) 20:40, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- The stuff about meeting his wife on a blind date and the like. As I said before, I've tried to cut out a lot of the worst (first-naming him, campaign positions taken off his campaign website, etc.). It's still a little informal and calculatedly folksy; and names every little award he's ever gotten in his career, in a bulleted list. --Orange Mike | Talk 21:02, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

I have also removed this, content can be considered a bit promotional as it was, please feel free to use it and the citations to replace the content in a more policy compliant way. Off2riorob (talk) 21:16, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

COI
[edit]As regards labeling the article as a COI article, what content do editors consider is not neutral? There is actually very little content in the article that could have a conflict of interest, perhaps an editor with a COI has edited the article but it is a BLp and we should not label the biography if there is not some specific content in the article that is violating some policy, if there is any content that editors assert has issues please identify it and we can deal with it and then remove the labeling of ther article. Off2riorob (talk) 20:45, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
Article needs additional citations?
