Interesting ballet, on fine sources, no copyvio obvious. In both hooks, there's much Scottish-themed, but little help what it may mean, - making me thin of folklore. We might teach our readers with a bit more precision that it's danced to music from Mendelssohn's Scottish Symphony (in his 175th anniversary this year), or that it evokes the style of La Sylphide which has a Highlander as the hero. We should name Mendelssohn's symphony by the familiar nickname at least in the article, which makes the connection quite obvious. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:49, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the review. An ALT per your suggestion, with "Scot" appearing four times.
ALT2:... that George Balanchine's Scottish-themed ballet Scotch Symphony, set to Mendelssohn's Scottish Symphony, evokes the style of La Sylphide, a romantic ballet set in Scotland? Corachow (talk) 22:21, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, but I think three is the number for all good things ;)
ALT2a:... that George Balanchine's ballet Scotch Symphony, set to Mendelssohn's Scottish Symphony, evokes the style of La Sylphide, a romantic ballet set in Scotland?
