"It is the world's oldest recorded sporting event..." really? What about Ancient_Olympic_Games? I don't know if the Ancient Olympic Games are the oldest recorded sporting event but they came before Scorton Arrow.

The Ancient Olympic Games haven't run for an awfully long time. The Modern Olympics are completely separate. Mr Barndoor (talk) 15:58, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
