Misuse of sources in the "Sustainability" subsection of the "Benefits" section
[edit]This subsection describes alleged sustainability benefits of scooter-sharing systems with no indication that there is any controversy over these sustainability claims, yet the very first source the subsection cites is titled "Electric scooters: not so eco-friendly after all?" and calls sustainability claims into question, citing lack of sufficient data and e-scooters being used in place of lower carbon transportation methods.
I wrote a paragraph on a life cycle analysis of scooter shares performed by researchers at North Carolina State University finding scooter shares create a net increase in global warming impact over the transportation methods they displace 65% of the time; I initially put it in this subsection, but then thought it was probably more appropriate to put it in its own subsection in the Harms section.
Anyway, the misuse of the source in this section, what do people think is the appropriate way to handle it? Is there a tag that should be applied? 99.111.255.214 (talk) 17:16, 6 May 2022 (UTC)
sustainability
[edit]I have just shortened the article to exclude marketing-like phrasing. If it sounds slightly empty now, that's because the fact-content of the source article (citation #46) is not much when peeled off the weasel worded marketing-like huff-puff. 62.92.48.67 (talk) 12:38, 30 January 2024 (UTC) 62.92.48.67 (talk) 12:38, 30 January 2024 (UTC).
