self-energy
[edit]Excuse my ignorance, but is this connected with the Dyson equation that relates the Green's function to the self energy, as described in the article for the latter? If so, please explain and change the redirect on Dyson equation to this. If not, please put a note in saying so. Stevvers 03:15, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
Merge
[edit]I think the articles refered to Quantum action , Schwinger's variational Principle should be also merged into this article about S-Dyson equations. --Karl-H 22:01, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
Can some background be provided, please?
[edit]It would be helpful if this article contained an introduction saying what these equations represent and how they connect to the rest of QFT. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.72.65.40 (talk) 22:41, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- Hope I achived this with the introductiory sentences..RolteVolte (talk) 16:51, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
Regularization
[edit]It would be nice to have the following clarified:
"Note that since
is not well-defined because
is a distribution in
- x1, x2 and x3,
this equation needs to be regularized!"
That is to say, the manner in which this is regularized is not shared. At the very least, a link provided to an external reference. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Manifolder (talk • contribs) 21:04, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
