Flag
[edit]Boothy,
Need your expertise, at your convenience. On Pottsville, Pennsylvania the template at the top for the city flag does not have a city flag. Can you hrlp remove it?
Thanks in advance. Scott 12:27, 16 September 2005 (UTC)
Bridge Pic
[edit]Just off hand, does anyone know what bridge it is. It looks like it could be Girard Ave. --Boothy443 | trácht ar 02:52, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
- The bridge is the Vine Street Expressway bridge leading to the Schulkill Expressway, and carrying I-676 and US-30 over the CSX tracks and the river, but the photo is 2007, as is apparent from the skyline construction. --DThomsen8 (talk) 22:06, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
- There are eight photos of that bridge here.
Pollution
[edit]Anyone have any information about the pollution state of the river to add to this article? I think that it would be a good addition. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.166.15.42 (talk) 14:29, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
RE: Pollution
I have some good information about pollution of the Schuylkill River. In fact, I have a good deal of information of pollution dating back to the Industrial Revolution. I was the lead author on a project studying sediment pollution in the Schuylkill River ([Sediment Quality..(2007)]). I was also thinking about adding a section describing the hydrologic and geologic setting and history of the basin. Thoughts?--Michael E. Degnan, Jr. 19:37, 19 April 2009 (UTC) —Preceding Michael E. Philadelphia Water Department
[edit]The Philadelphia Water Department draws half of its water from the Schuylkill River, from intakes on both sides of the river. --DThomsen8 (talk) 22:08, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
