crystallite dimension

[edit]

what is "crystallite dimension" (the definition of tau given in the article). Is it similar to diameter? This term needs to be defined in order for the article to make sense. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.123.232.50 (talk) 16:40, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Peak broadening due to disorder of the second kind" is not applicable

[edit]

The whole "Peak broadening due to disorder of the second kind" section is not applicable to this article. The Applicability section states that all other contributions to broadening are considered to be zero. Until there is a good peak profile analysis Wikipedia entry, I suggest moving this to a subsection of the Applicability section. (There is a section of peak profile shapes in the Wikipedia entry on Rietveld refinement, but these details are not strictly a part of Rietveld refinement. They would fit in an entry on Whole Pattern Fitting. Both of the entries on Le Bail method and Rietveld refinement would be subsets of whole pattern fitting.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by WilliamSLBoyer (talkcontribs) 11:45, 16 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
