First look through
[edit]Infobox
[edit]- There is no source for the release date.
- Studio Bus or Tour Bus?
Lead
[edit]- '"Scheiße" (English: "Shit")' you also mention later that 'the name of the song "Scheiße" means "shit" in German'. Either remove the first or the other.
- 'is a song by American recording artist Lady Gaga from her second studio album, Born This Way (2011).' -> 'is a song by American recording artist Lady Gaga, taken from her second studio album, Born This Way (2011).
- Songs are directly from albums, whereas singles aren't. Not done due to redundancy. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 20:42, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
- 'It is written and produced by Lady Gaga and RedOne' -> 'The song was written and produced by Lady Gaga and RedOne'
- '"Scheiße" was first introduced as a remix during a January 2011 Thierry Mugler fashion show' -> '"Scheiße" was first introduced as a remix during a Thierry Mugler fashion show held on January 19, 2011'

- 'The song received positive reviews from critics who complimented its heavy dance beat and catchy chorus. Some called it a highlight of the album, although the German lyrics and Gaga's accent were criticized. Reviewers also found influences of Madonna's work.' Try to re-write this. In my opinion, it would be better like this: 'The song received positive reviews from contemporary critics, who complimented its heavy dance beat and catchy chorus, despite criticizing the German lyrics and Gaga's accent. Reviewers also considered it a highlight of the album, and found influences of Madonna's work.'
- The song has also charted in other countries. Try to fix the info of the last phrase.
Background
[edit]- You have mentioned info about Gaga recording the song twice. Remove from the one on the composition section, and leave only the one on the background section. Replace 'Lady Gaga and RedOne had written and produced "Scheiße" in 2010, while recording it in Europe, on their Studio Bus.' with '"Scheiße" was written and produced by Lady Gaga and RedOne. The song was originally recorded on the Tour Bus in Europe in 2010, and it was later remixed at Larrabee Sound Studios in North Hollywood, California by Trevor Muzzy.'
- 'a Thierry Mugler fashion show on January 19, 2011' -> 'a Thierry Mugler fashion show held on January 19, 2011'
Composition
[edit]- I have reduced the sample per WP:SAMPLE. Fix the sample description.
Reception
[edit]Critical response
[edit]- '"channels Miss Kittin doing a rave take on Madonna’s 'Erotica,' making it a "commanding pop song" and a "triumph".' -> '"channels Miss Kittin doing a rave take on Madonna’s 'Erotica'," making it a "commanding pop song" and a "triumph".'
- 'Tris McCall of New Jersey Herald rewarded "Scheiße" as the "song of the week" and said that: "Lady Gaga hardly needs advice from me, but if I were in any position to give her counsel, I’d encourage her to single "Scheiße" next. The "Born This Way" album cut is no less absurd than the songs she’s already chosen to release: She chants the verses in the most broken German you’ll hear outside a high school production of Cabaret. But the beat is the album’s best."' Try to paraphrase this.
Chart performance
[edit]- 'Specifically, in Germany, "Scheiße" debuted at number 90, after Gaga had performed the song at Germany's Next Topmodel.' Why specifically?
- 'It also chartered' -> 'It also peaked'
- 'In the United States, the song peaked at position 11 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart of Billboard' -> 'In the United States, the song reached number 11 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart of Billboard'
Live performance
[edit]- 'The singer went through them and then dodged third sash that read "vanity."' -> 'The singer went through them and then dodged a third sash that read "vanity."'
Credits and personnel
[edit]- 'Credits adapted from Born This Way album liner notes' -> 'Credits for "Scheiße" adapted from Born This Way album liner notes.'

Comments
[edit]Overall, this article is good, but it has some prose issues. I can not pass it until these erros are fixed and/or addressed. By the way, I don't like Gaga so much, but I love "Scheiße" and "Hair". :) - Saulo Talk to Me 23:51, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
- Legolas is absent for the next few days and I have made an effort to copy-edit the article during his absense. I have replied to one of your points and have addressed the others, except for the infobox issues. Please check to see if they were done right. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 20:42, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
