Nicknames and Anchors
[edit]What are the "7" anchor stores? I count 3, maybe 4 if the theatre is included.
Additionally, who calls it "Town?" Where are these nicknames derived from? I know everyone calls it STC, but Town? I think not. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.245.76.26 (talk) 08:33, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:ScarboroTC.jpg
[edit]Image:ScarboroTC.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 21:51, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Mid-2008 renovation idea?
[edit]Wondering where whoever put this in got the idea that "Beginning in Mid-2008, the Scarborough Town Centre will undergo an extensive renovation to update the interior common areas along with the restrooms."
Deserves a reference. Sounds like a welcome idea to Oxford Properties, seeing as how they've renovated most of there other Toronto properties... But without a reference or public knowledge is just a rumour. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.64.50.229 (talk) 22:39, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
- No idea who posted it or where a reference would be, but sure enough, renovations are underway and signs are up everywhere. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.245.76.26 (talk) 08:32, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
- Anyone going to STC now can see that there is scaffolding all over the mall. The entire thing is being re renovated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.64.55.86 (talk) 02:13, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
- Can you take a pic, and post it on Wikimedia Commons?? Raysonho (talk) 02:30, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Common Complaints
[edit]I hope nobody minds, but I am going to delete the "Common Complaints" section. Not only are there spelling mistakes, the whole paragraph is gramatically incorrect and sounds like a rant from a disgruntled mall rat. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cairnben (talk • contribs) 14:00, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
COI
[edit]An editor who is affiliated with this shopping center has been editing the page. I have tagged it for COI and advertisement. The article needs to be reviewed by an independent editor for NPOV and sourcing before the tag can come off. If you do that, please leave a note here. Thanks! Jytdog (talk) 02:30, 29 May 2015 (UTC)

Hello, I noticed that the photos I added which were deemed "advertising material" have already been removed. Wondering what the next steps are so the disclaimers at the top "A major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject" and "This article contains content that is written like an advertisement" can be removed. I do recommend re-adding the photos since they are more current photos/representation of the shopping centre. Thank you Iriskimberly (talk)
- I removed the tags. They don't appear to be relevant. CorporateM (Talk) 01:50, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
