Hi!
I wrote my thesis on the topic of SICM. the document is located there: http://sschraml.happyserverfriends.info/public/SICMthesis.pdf please include if this is of interest.
SICM is not Electron microscopy
[edit]SICM is not Electron Microscopy so why the comparison with SEM regarding killing the living tissue cells? It is a probe microscopy which does not have any resemblance to SEM or Electron Microscopy in function. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.195.107.160 (talk) 00:47, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
I have expanded and completed the article as best I could
[edit]I am a new contributor to wikipedia, tell me if there are grave mistakes in my version

AFM Reference removed
[edit]I removed the part saying that both STM and AFM cannot image poorly or non-conducting surfaces, since the AFM, indeed, is able to image these surfaces. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:4C80:40:4C8:7A2B:CBFF:FE96:EA04 (talk) 13:56, 19 May 2014 (UTC)
