[edit]Source: Extracts translated from the book written in Burmese, “Taing Yin Muslim (Burmese Muslim), famous poets and authors” bookby Professor Dr Aung Zaw, “Badon Min era Muslim poet Shwe Taung Thargathu U Nu” chapter pp 1 to 86, Book Series in Islam No 47, published by the Union of Myanmar Islamic Council Head Quarters 27th. August 2008. And added the facts from other sources which I had duly cited and given as references.--Darz kkg (talk) 13:54, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
Please reorganize
[edit]The career section needs a lot of help!
- It should be organized in chronological order, highlighting his major positions, which kings and groups did he serve, titles achieved, activities, and works published. Only the most important reports and poems should be noted and given some background.
- How did he become an officer? Was he just a childhood friend of the prince and was thus set for life?
- The citations need to be reviewed so that information points to consistent and reliable secondary media sources. What is MMSY p. X? There are several MMSY published books from that group. Which one is the reference?
- Please see the cite book references that I posted and see if that helps you with some of the sources for print.
- Years are needed for Nu's activities. At age X does not help the reader figure out what he did or when he did it.
- Did Nu translate the Islamic books or write them from scratch? Please distinguish for each major work. Also, is "In Seven chapters" part of the title or just the length of the book? What are the names of the titles?
- The names of people should be reviewed as well. Remove extensive titles for people mentioned. It is incredibly difficult to figure out who is who, and whether or not they are notable. For example, I changed Professor Dr. Aung Zaw to Aung Zaw. Should C.A. U Ba Lwin be Ba Lwin?
- Please review his family's full names, removing titles where appropriate.
- Besides the main king, did he serve other kings afterwards?
- Is Nu part of his birth name? When was he given the U title, and the Saya Gyi title? Who gave it to him? Or is that like Mr. or Dr. ?
- When and how did U Nu become an Iman? Did he do the Fard beforehand?
- Is the Bengali poem significant? After which India trip did he write it?
- If he did spy work in India, does that mean his occupation is in espionage and the royal officer titles are just a front?
- What was the purpose of U Nu's missions? Gathering Buddhist scriptures and memorabilia? Did the king want to collect artifacts? Did India give them the information and memorabilia freely or did they have to make some arrangement?
- Why should we care about who attended the expeditions?
- More needs to be written about his legacy. What institutions or practices do the people in Myanmar still follow? Is the 35 Chapters Book a classic? Is it required reading at schools? What about his Bengali poem?

- Sorry for the confusing terms...In the "Career" section...I will edit and put in thoroughly...as I am very busy now.. Please read my clarification here ...
Finished the “Islamic book in Three Chapters”, named, “Thone Khan Kyan” in Myanmar which simply meant, “Islamic book in Three Chapters” or simply named “Three Chaptered scripture”. Islamic book in Six Chapters, named, “Choke Khan Kyan” in Myanmar which simply meant, “Islamic book in Six Chapters” or simply named “Six Chaptered Scripture”. He finished[clarification needed] the Saerajay Sharaei in 35 Chapters (The name in Urudu meant (Light of Islamic Sharia Law) and is simply named “Thone Sae Nga Khan Kyan” simply meant and called as the “35 Chaptered scripture.” He had informed the Majesty about the Colonial British and their methods to colonize a country, behaviour and customs etc. even 80 years before Thibaw Min was overthrown and exiled to Ratnagiri, India. Burma lost Independence in 1885. U Nu’s early warning to his king about how the British colonize India is important because Burma was made a colony of Britain later.
