Anyone discussing whether there's any stealing or uncredited sampling or mere gross coincidence, ala either the song, Don't Wanna Be (Your Friend) [feat. Mi Casa] by Euphonik, or, to a less obvious degree the song, Sorry, Blame It on Me which was the fifth single from R&B singer / songwriter Akon's second studio album, Konvicted ( Deluxe Edition)?? Google these with YouTube on the front for a wild ride! -From Peter {a.k.a. Vid2vid(talk | contribs)} 05:53, 29 June 2021 (UTC). -- -From Peter {a.k.a. Some chart positions for the original version are wrong such as the original version peaking only at number 4 (not #1 as said in this article), etc. 108.54.79.86 (talk) 20:31, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'd like to get clarity on this before editing and possibly getting reverted, but a few of the listed peaks on the original version of the song without Grande are mixed with the peaks of the Grande remix. For example, the solo version of Save Your Tears only peaked at No. 4 on the weekly Hot 100, yet it is listed as No. 1 despite it never hitting the top slot as a solo entry. It only hit No. 1 after the remix featuring Grande, and Grande's credit remains attached to-date. Same with the Global 200 chart, or Canadian Hot 100 chart.
"Savage" is heavily more organized and the remix with Grande proves to be the driving force based off its streaming stats, I believe these should be rearranged. And if possible, I'd like to expand on the remix as information on its music video, composition, or live performance as a duo is absent from the section.
