[edit]- Specific text to be added or removed: In 2021, SAPT broadened its rail service agreement with the Georgia Ports Authority (GPA) to include their new Mason Mega Rail Terminal. The new agreement is expected to double the rail container capacity at the Port. Since 1998, SAPT has provided the Port of Savannah’s rail intermodal and merchandise service. After completion, SAPT is now able to build and receive six 10,000-foot trains simultaneously.
