saucepan materials

Hello, I've never done this but I followed the links. I don't know anything about helping on Wiki. The materials are important for instance; copper, stainless, clads and iron all with specific advantages and disadvantages. The best is a tin lined copper vessel, also very old design. I thought you said saucepan?> This prompts as one word. sauteuse pan is a sauté pan and a sautoir is a frying pan. A marmite would be a sauce pot. Sauces have to be usually made in a pot. I don't think there is a so called saucepan. But it's all over the marketplace. Also google and bing translate saucepan to casserole. It took me 30 minutes. It's like buying a mattress or floor tile. Well maybe there's a french wikipedia page. Americans bastardize everything. Maybe there's a definition in the law as in "she whacked him in the head with a.... after she found out... after that when the cops came she had made stew in the murder weapon. Ah, mystery solved: "Casserole: Although this word has come to mean, in English, an earthenware or other oven dish in which foods are 'casseroled,' in France a casserole is simply what we call a saucepan, with high straight sides and a handle. Technically, this kind of saucepan is called a 'casserole russe'; a shallow saucepan with straight sides is a sautoir, a sauteuse, a casserole á sauter, a casserole-sauteuse, or a plat á sauter". Are you going to make the page then? If you can cook please advise. I first got introduced to edit a page (random) about sous vide. It's a time temp controlled cooking. And the page was an ad for an expensive machine.. I tried to write "you could, howeve,r use a pot of water and a reliable heat source and a timer". The bot would not allow it so I won't try anymore.
