Date of birth/age

Confusing. Someone just added content about a series of stamps issued to commemorate his 100th birthday in "May 2019", yet we've been using a citation of an interview with him where he says "I was born to Shankar Raj and Rajkumari Joshi in the year 1920 in Bakhutole, Patan". I looked for a source for the stamps and found one which I added, but that leaves the article in a bit of a self-contradictory state.

Perhaps we need a better citation for his birth date than the interview? I've added one from the Kathmandu post for now, and changed his birth date to "May 1919". He could have been mistaken about his own birth year - it can happen, and there may not be any reliable records. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ -- Begoon 06:19, 21 November 2019 (UTC)

Agree that the page should be changed to say 1920. The problem is that in many parts of Asia they use different calendars, so he may have turned 100 in May 2019 according to another calendar, but by Gregorian calendar standards (of which English Wiki uses), he was born in May 1920. --Jkaharper (talk) 14:25, 18 November 2021 (UTC)
