Higher quality A Journey in Other Worlds scan

[edit]

In the above GA review, @Maplestrip: mentions that they wanted a higher quality scan of File:A Journey in Other Worlds by Dan Beard 08.jpg. There's actually two such scans: journeyinotherwo00asto and journeyinotherwo00astouoft, although both of them are a bit yellowed compared to the existing scan (which probably comes from one of the Google Books scans, but I haven't checked this). I don't have time to clean it up right now, but here are the high-resolution source images which might be worth adding. Pokechu22 (talk) 09:05, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oh this is amazing! I don't currently have the time (or much of the skill necesary) to clean these up and upload them either, but they would look lovely on Commons for sure! ~Maplestrip/Mable (chat) 09:49, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've cleaned them up and uploaded them. I'm not super experienced with this, but I'm pretty sure that even my imperfect versions are a lot more better than the existing images. (For what it's worth, all that I did to find these images was search "A Journey in Other Worlds" on archive.org (without the quotes in this case, though quotes are generally helpful), and then look through the available scans. In the sidebar, under "download options", I selected "show all", then "view contents" for journeyinotherwo00asto_orig_jp2.tar. This has jpeg scans for all of the pages. wikisource:Help:Adding images has instructions on how to format images though I don't think I followed them perfectly.) --Pokechu22 (talk) 20:25, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
