Säteri in Finland
[edit]In Finland was Säteri Oy untill 2008 in Valkeakoski with 400 employees. Säteri means Rayon in Finnish. [1] [2]. What is the connection of Sateri in Hong Kong and Säteri in Finland, both producers of cellulose fiber? Watti Renew (talk) 17:00, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
- * Kemira owned Säteri Oy in Valkeakoski during 1974-1997 [3]
- * Säteri Oy was owned in 2008 by Goodwood Venture in Virgin Islands and the main share holder was First Alverstone Partners in Singapore. [4]
- Sateri, the viscose provider was established in China in 2002 as Sateri (Jiangxi) Chemical Fibre Co., Ltd., and is China's largest viscose producer. Sateri Oy, later renamed Kuitu Finland Oy was acquired by Sateri International and was managed as a subsidiary. [5][6][7] HawkEggz (talk) 02:23, 17 April 2019 (UTC)
Needs more sources
[edit]Sateri is a formerly publicly listed company, now privatised. The page needs more updates with news citations. HawkEggz (talk) 02:04, 17 April 2019 (UTC)
Edit Request
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Proposing the following addition for the opening paragraph of the article, which will more accurately reflect the history of the company, Sateri. - HawkEggz (talk) 07:52, 10 July 2019 (UTC)
- Sateri is the world's largest viscose staple fiber producers, with an annual production capacity of 1.1 million metric tonnes of viscose staple fiber. It has operations in China, comprising a viscose staple fiber production facility in Putian, Fujian, and mills in Jiangxi and Jiangsu.[1][2].
- Sateri was formerly listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange as Sateri Holdings Limited from 2010 to 2015, comprising viscose and dissolving wood pulp production lines. The viscose productions were privatized in 2015, which also saw Sateri Holdings Limited renamed Bracell Limited in 2015-2016, which focused on dissolving wood pulp. Bracell Limited was later privatized in 2016.[3][4]

That said, while it shares a common history in the public listing on the HKSE with Sateri, Bracell should have its own page, but it was regrettably and zealously deleted. More info:

- Reverted. It is controversial and the COI version had indeed quite based on primary source (edit: one self-published source from Seeking Alpha and press release-like articles 11:31, 17 July 2019 (UTC)) at and more promotional tone. Also, lede had its owns MoS . Since Bracell Limited redirect to this article according to the Afd, it should be bolded. Matthew hk (talk) 10:06, 17 July 2019 (UTC)
- Regarding "Bracell" the business division (instead of Bracell Limited), sorry there is very lack of WP:GNG news coverage to merit as an individual article. Matthew hk (talk) 10:10, 17 July 2019 (UTC)

Under History, propose the following line. -
- In April 2019, Sateri acquired the heavily indebted Jiangsu Xiangsheng Viscose Fiber Co., Ltd. Following the acquisition, Sateri now owns 4 mills with a total annual viscose production capacity to 1.1 million tons.[1][2]

2 Different Companies
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. Please use either WP:AFC or WP:SPLITREQ. |
This page is all about Sateri, the viscose producer. It was part of Sateri Holdings Limited when it was listed. Thereafter, the said viscose producing operations was privatised. To provide both Sateri and Bracell articles in the same page is misleading. It is unfortunate that overzealous editors deleted the Bracell page and merged into this page. Propose that mentions Bracell, saved for the history of the public listing on HKSE, be removed. Also proposed that a separate page for Bracell be created. More information is in the next paragraph. - HawkEggz (talk) 06:12, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
Sateri and Bracell are two different companies. Sateri is the world's largest viscose producer, while Bracell is one of the world's largest producers of dissolving wood pulp and specialty cellulose. They should have separate pages. Sateri was initially listed in 2010 on the HKSE, but later privatized only its viscose operations in 2015. There was a name change to Bracell Limited. In 2016, Bracell privatized. The sources as follows:

Split Request 6 August 2019
[edit]'''{{Split|Sateri|Bracell|date= 8-2019 |discuss=Talk:Sateri#Split}}''' Request to split the article as per the above facts with references. - HawkEggz (talk) 01:12, 6 August 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose May be WP:Deletion Review? BTW, primary source can't be used to proven WP:GNG and WP:NCORP notability, and those source from HKEX seem point to "Sateri Holdings Limited" aka "Barcell Limited". Also due to paid editing / COI nature, please kind accept the fact that individual business division may did not have enough secondary source or news coverage to make them notable . Lastly, i had to declare I haven't done searching Portuguese language article for Bahia Specialty Cellulose, Copener and Lwarcel Celulose. Matthew hk (talk) 15:26, 6 August 2019 (UTC)
@Matthew hk: Please look at the references closely provided above. Hopefully, another editor can look at the sources. Newer third party references already refer to Sateri as Sateri and not "Sateri Holdings" or "Bracell Limited", which outdated (if you looked at the dates) HKEX sources spelled out. I've already provided the sources but it seems that we are not taking an evidence-based approach to updating this. The references already show the privatization of both companies and they remain distinct. Hope this proof is sufficient. I would like to repeat the split request. Here are additional and newer third party mentions of Sateri, and one of Bracell as a separate entity on its own:
