Irrelevant sections

[edit]

This page contains completely irrelevant texts in etymology section. It's not connected to Sat-soodras. Sat-Shoodras and Vratyas are different. Also the hiranyagarbha ritual section makes no sense in sat-shoodra page. I had made some changes but it was reverted please check. Mohit Dokania (talk) 18:59, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Don't confuse with Vratya sanskrit term and Vratya ethnic group.
vrātya meaning (व्रात्य).—m An adult brāhmaṇa without the in- vestiture of a sacred thread.
Vratya Jathi refers to castes that have fallen from a higher varna (Brahmin, Kshatriya or vaishya) and refuse to accept their varna or Vedic rites.
Many Vratya Jathis termed as Sat-sudras became more prevalent during the British period. Sat-sudras can return to their Vedic varna if they agree to perform prayachitha in the presence of a qualified Brahmin.
Sudras and Sat-sudras are two distinct groups.
But Promoting caste status from Sudra (Servent class) and backward castes is not possible. Jaganathpandey1111 (talk) 05:32, 24 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
