[edit]Dear all,
the English wikipage of Saskia De Coster contains many errors and is not up to date at all. I would like to correct following parts. I will put the part which there is now first and then i will suggest my correction
-Saskia de Coster has published five books as of April 11, 2013.[2] // into six
-Under Each Other appeared in the new international time zones book. That is wrong In 2000, she made her debut with a story called Under Each Other, published in the magazine NWT.
-She is on the editorial staff of Dietsche Warande en Belfort, a literary magazine and writes a column in De Standaard newspaper entitled Big Deal.[6] Wrong: she writes a column in the newspaper De Morgen
-Voted one of the twenty best writers under 35 by De Groene Amsterdammer magazine. That is wrong. it was ten
But there is also a lot of information missing. I will put the information I would like to add here first.
-Saskia de Costers most recent novel is “wij en ik” (2013, Prometheus).
-Beeldende artists, as well as with Arno Geens about the artistic planning of a zebra path to the Green Boulevard off the Bampslaan in Hasselt, 2007. The designs are called 'oversteekplaats' for house animals and contain the next 'inktzwarte' text on the six parallel white fields of the zebra. Its design fits in within a Hasselt's Art Project Crossovercrosswalk. I would like to erase this since it was a non-interesting and very small thing. I would like to replace it by: visual artists such as video artist Nicolas Rombouts and artist Arne Quinze (here link to arne quinze's wikipage). Arne Quinze invited the author Saskia De Coster to capture the alienation which his monumental work Rock Strangers (Oostende) exude as well as the intimacy of My Secret Garden (Kunsthal Rotterdam) in contemporary stories and distinctive film footage.
-I would like to add extra title
Extra's:
- Saskia has designed the cover of her sixth novel "Wij en ik" herself
- De Coster started "Project 397". Since the novel “wij en ik” counts 397 pages, she will read daily one page, every day on a different location. All those little movies are posted on her Youtube channel (and add the link: www.Youtube.com/saskiadecoster and Facebook page (www.facebook.com/saskiadecoster)
CITYBOOKS The Flemish Dutch House deBuren invites international authors and photographers to take part in a two week residency with one of the local partner organisations in various interesting European cities. The resulting citybook (stories, essays or poems) can be read, listened to and downloaded for free on the website www.citybooks.eu. For this project, De Coster went to Skopje (Macedonia) and Stellenbosch (South Africa). (stories also in English, French, German).
And then there are some typo errors.
Since i am Saskia's friend, I would like to notice you in advance. I am aware that we are close but it's also a fact that this wikipage is outdated and contains many errors. I am cautious to only add correct information and respect the fact that wiki is an online encyclopedia.
