This article is written in Canadian English, which has its own spelling conventions (colour, centre, travelled, realize, analyze) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus.
There was a speculative statement regarding a "town" called Hawker that appears on some maps. It's not a town, but rather a legal name given either to a rail siding or a post office, or a rural area. There's never been an actual "town" of Hawker and I've been going to Pike Lake since the 1970s, so contrary to what was initially added to the article, there was nothing to tear down. 23skidoo21:32, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
