Trivia Section
Hello, I have reverted the inclusion of Trivia section which was restored by a fellow editor in version. Although MOS:FILM talks about trivia section, it has to be used very sparingly. As far as I can see there is nothing in the section which can qualify for that. All it has is share collections which are pointless and unreliable as discussed in this talk page. Editors are welcome to express their view below.--Ab207 (talk) 17:20, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
Release
@Ab207: Why release section is removed? PK743 (talk) 18:41, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
- Didn't Ab207 explain it in their edit summary? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:48, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Cyphoidbomb: Sorry, i couldn't get it after reading this phrase "Rating coverage generally belongs in the "Release" section". PK743 (talk) 19:02, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
- @PK743: We do not, by default, include ratings information. Someone in Brazil isn't going to know what India's "U/A" means, any more than someone in Russia is going to know what the US's "PG" means. If there is a noteworthy reason to include ratings, then we can do that, so long as we provide context, but that's not relevant for most films. For instance, if a film's subject is so controversial that a ratings board gave it a much higher adult-only rating, that might be worth mentioning, if the media took interest in that information. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:22, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
- Exactly, the information we present should convey something meaningful. It should not be a collection of raw data where readers are left to wonder what it means.--Ab207 (talk) 21:17, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Cyphoidbomb and Ab207: Thanks for all of your helpful information guys, this will help me in my future edits. PK743 (talk) 03:34, 25 August 2020 (UTC)

Collections
@Ab207: So box office mojo came out with a collection that the film made 278 cr worldwide. [1] Is this a good enough source and reputable one to update the page? SP013 (talk) 14:33, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
- Hey, SP013. Long time no see. If you check the exchange range around its release date, it's ~71. Multiplying that with the Mojo's figure, we will get around 265 crore; not much of a difference from the present figure, and that 5 crore can easily be the margin of error. But it may be added in the Box office section that "According to Box office Mojo..." so and so. -- Ab207 (talk) 14:48, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
