- More of a comment than a review, but both hooks have a rather limited appeal outside of Indian audiences. Perhaps both hooks could be given additional context for the benefit of non-Indian readers? I don't think either Kho kho or the Arjuna Award are things most readers would be familiar with. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 03:43, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
- Narutolovehinata5, that's the thing, kho kho as a sport is quite unknown to the world outside of South Asia and through this nomination I'd like to make people aware of its existence. This is the first and only article of a kho kho player on Wikipedia (of any language version apparently) and the sport itself is played throughout India, Pakistan and Bangladesh; especially in rural areas. That being said, I do understand your reservation about the "appeal" of the hooks. I'd be really grateful if you could suggest something better from the article.--Deepak G Goswami (talk) 06:55, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
- I took a look at the article and right now the only other option I can think of was her trying to apply for jobs at India's airport and railway authorities (note that the Indian Railways mention is unreferenced and needs to be cited). I do think that the first hook has potential, but it needs to be made clear that Kho kho is a sport and that the Arjuna Award is prestigious. Perhaps a few words about the Arjuna Award and why it's important or prestigious could be added to the hook? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 06:59, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
- ALT2: ... that in 2020, Sarika Kale became the first player of Kho kho, a popular traditional sport of India, in last 22 years to win the second highest sporting honour Arjuna Award?
- Narutolovehinata5, I have provided context about her unemployment, kho kho and Arjuna Award in the article for the better understanding of readers; please check. This is the modified suggestion which, I believe, may still require some polishing.--Deepak G Goswami (talk) 07:48, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
- This has promise but could still use some copyediting. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 07:51, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
- I copyedited the article. None of the alts are really interesting, and the ALT2 hook fact about being
the second highest sporting honour
doesn't appear in the article. I suggest this alt: - ALT3: ... that Sarika Kale, a kho kho player who has struggled financially for years, won ₹51,000 for her performance as captain of the India national team at the Third Asian Kho-Kho Championship? Yoninah (talk) 10:51, 7 September 2020 (UTC)

- This article is new enough and long enough. Approving ALT3 as being of general interest; the hook facts are cited inline, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. A QPQ has been done. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:35, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
