I'm Mreck95, I'm editing this stub for a class project under the direction of Mr. Bohrer, it's currently a work in progress. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mreck95 (talkcontribs) 13:58, 19 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Martin Skov: - this page does not contain the relevant information, but has been subject a project with insufficient focus on the importance of the article. I suggest a complete revision and removal of most of the article, since it is not at all relevant to "Sarcolemma" but concerns muscle fiber function!. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Martin Skov (talkcontribs) 06:46, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"Inside the sarcolemma": shouldn't perpendicular be parallel?

[edit]

In the section 'Inside the sarcolemma', shouldn't the phrase 'Within the sarcoplasm are many perpendicular myofibrils' be 'Within the sarcoplasm are many PARALLEL myofibrils' ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.6.224.106 (talk) 12:41, 22 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

sarcolemma also relates to vascular endothelium?

[edit]

I find a reference to 'sarcolema'(sic) in text relating to the endothelium of blood vessels, and wonder if something about that needs to be included here in this wiki article? (Or might it just be an error in terminology usage by the article's author?)
The text is: "The cortical web surrounds the internal surface of the sarcolema and is responsible for the cells shape and elasticity." (sic)

The source publication is: Cardiovascular Diabetology, Published: 23 February 2006 Cardiovascular Diabetology2006, 5:4doi:10.1186/1475-2840-5-4 Received: 09 January 2006Accepted: 23 February 2006.
