Openwaterpedia, which has been used to source a major expansion of the article, appears to be a wiki and therefore not a Reliable Source. The article in that wiki gives no sources for individual statements, only a long list of "External links", some very generic. Please help me with...
Hi, I did not understand that I was violating Wikipedia's COI policy when I edited the page for Sarah Thomas (marathon swimmer), who is a family member. The Wikipedia article on COI explains how what what I did was unethical, and also offers suggestions for how to avoid or declare an initial COI but not much on how to make things right once the changes are made. Melmarie.maxson, I've moved this comment to a better location (i.e. the article's talk page). That being said, having a COI doesn't mean you are prohibited from editing the page, just that you should be very careful about writing neutrally and sourcing all of your statements. I have also indicated your disclosure above with the {{connected contributor}} tag. If you want more help, change the {{help me-helped}} back into a {{help me}}, stop by the Teahouse, or Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance.
