Names of Strikeforce titles
[edit]Should we put a note on the page like the note on the Women's Welterweight Champion page? I added the source from that to the page.Just wondered if anyone thought it was necessary. (MgTurtle (talk) 01:09, 29 July 2010 (UTC))
- There's truly no reason to refer to the titles as Bantamweight and Featherweight on Wikipedia. Numerous promotions use naming formats that do not conform to the Unified Rules and all of those other promotions - Shooto, for example - have their titles correctly named here on Wikipedia. Sarah Kaufman's title is the Strikeforce Women's Welterweight Championship. It is not the Bantamweight Championship. By renaming it here, we are creating inaccurate articles and going directly against the goal of Wikipedia in compiling the most accurate article content possible. Reverting to Bantamweight does nothing because other users will (rightfully) continue to switch it back to Welterweight. It is the Welterweight Championship and should be referred to as such. Sara Kaufman, not Sarah Kaufmann
[edit]She has a angel-german descent and her name should be written as Sara Kaufmann!--85.26.241.165 (talk) 05:08, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
- Nope. She gets to choose how to spell her own name. Check out her website: http://www.sarahkaufman.ca/ Taevan (talk)
Edit - Moved Info
[edit]I moved the dates when she won and lost her Strikeforce title out of the summary section at the top and into the actual detail section lower down. It was too much information for the upfront description and only re-iterated what you can read more quickly in her fighter record table. This is more in line with other MMA fighter pages. It also reflects that that title is now defunct and the UFC Women's Bantamweight Title is more relevant for the future of the division and possible for Sarah Kaufman herself. Taevan (talk)
Jessica Eye fight
[edit]I readded 'controversial' to split decision, as it is properly sourced. Not sure why 'very' kept getting added, as that's opinion. But should be ok now. --Stevehim (talk) 07:11, 23 November 2014 (UTC)

- Note: target or "new" titles cannot have non-redirected content unless they are also to be moved. So this request has been altered to reflect that requirement. P.I. Ellsworth ed. put'r there 07:47, 26 April 2020 (UTC)
- Support, as the fighter has much more hits in a search and x28 page views.--Bob not snob (talk) 05:09, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
