I've begun cleaning up this article, which relied on three book reviews, rather than the book itself, and removed some of the many cites to the least accurate of those reviews, which seemed near clickbait. I am on my way to a library to learn a little bit more about the Wellington estate, which was the only semi-inaccuracy I found in Casper's book, since it was one of 2 of that name in Prince William County, and not merely across Little Hunting Creek. However, writing that it belonged to Hannah Parker's natural father would seem a violation of wikipedia's no original research principle. I believe Sarah's mother was named to honor Hannah Smith, whose said story is in Casper's book and citechecked, even if some of the finding aids initially had issues. Unfortunately, I don't know when I'll complete that task because of my cyberbullies, who "anonymously" called yet again as I logged this relatively computer into a network. Years ago, they vowed to shut me up, and have deleted many of my proper posts on 800notes about those calls. While I've gone several days without blackscreens on this laptop following previews or edits, yesterday the youtube audio of a stream from LVA stopped as I edited on another tab, and tonight I'm getting occasional weird audio tones.Jweaver28 (talk) Jweaver28 (talk) 21:49, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm having difficulty using the index to Justin Glenn's relatively new multi-volume, The Washington's a family history (2014). Charles Augustine Washington supposedly turns up in two places in Volume 1, which has page numbers as well as section numbers. When neither I nor a reference librarian could find him in volume 1 at either page nor section 80 nor 172, he suggested I try another entry. We found Charles Carter Washington not at either entry nor page 58, but several pages later. So a Charles Augustine Washington (born Nov. 3, 1791, died July 5, 1811) shows as a son of George Augustine Washington (1759-1793) who served as a supervisor at Mount Vernon after marrying Martha Washington's niece Fanny Bassett (entry 102 on p. 91), and is noted as having fallen seriously ill and so took a sea voyage to Spain, dying unmarried at Cadiz. Entry 315 concerns John Thornton Augustine Washington (1783-1841) who served in the House of delegates.Jweaver28 (talk) 21:58, 25 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
