GA Reassessment

I am challenging the GA status of this article because it relies heavily on the notional article "Saqib Saleem: From Cricketer to Actor" which is not online. I am more than usually suspicious of this source because of a recently discovered false source presented by Legolas2186 at the article Madonna: Like an Icon. I am interested in finding out whether Legolas2186 has fabricated other sources in a similar manner. Binksternet (talk) 17:54, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
- WP:AGF? You haven't given a chance to Legolas to reply you about Like an Icon's source. You've started a witch-hunt with no reason. Tbhotch.™ Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 19:17, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
- I have reason to suspect Legolas fabricating sources for other GANs, so that is why my "good faith" is not so strong for Legolas right now. Binksternet (talk) 19:30, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
- As the reviewer of this article, I have a few words to say: Looking at Legolas's contributions, it's natural for someone like to me to assume good faith and not ask for verification of offline sources. However, if sources were fabricated for some of the GAs nominated by him, there is nothing wrong in suspecting that he might have done the same for this article too. So if that's the case, the article can very well be delisted. —Vensatry (Ping me) 17:19, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
- Here is a link to the ongoing workpage: User talk:Legolas2186/Fixing citation problems. This covers the wider problem. Binksternet (talk) 18:53, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

The biggest problem here is the following cite:
- Deb, Anupama (2011-11-09). "Saqib Saleem: From Cricketer to Actor". Starweek Magazine. Bennett & Coleman Ltd: 19–22.
This must be verified or a good portion of the article must be removed, the text supported by the cite. Binksternet (talk) 18:53, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
- I removed the Starweek Magazine article along with text that was supported only by it. Binksternet (talk) 16:13, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
- Lead does not adequately summarize the article. Info about early life, modelling are brand-endorsments are required. X.One SOS 10:30, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
- Not only the lead, the article was largely dependent on a single source. The failure in verification of that (offline) source is the main cause for the reassessment. —Vensatry (Ping me) 04:15, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
- The lead can be fleshed out a bit with the remaining citations, something about Delhi, the restaurant chain, leaving home to find modeling jobs in Mumbai. Another possibility is that perhaps a new source has become available, with details we haven't seen yet. Binksternet (talk) 04:52, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
I am delisting the article for lack of depth of coverage. Interested editors are welcome to expand it and resubmit it to WP:GAN. Thanks to everybody for their attention and work. Binksternet (talk) 15:01, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
