CSO Paragraph - Move to Combined Sewer Article
[edit]The paragraph on Combined Sewer Overflows (CSO) should be moved to the Combined sewer article. CSOs are a problem distinct from SSOs, and CSOs occur only in combined sewer systems. SSOs can occur in either sanitary sewers or combined sewers. Comments? Moreau1 (talk) 04:36, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- I deleted the CSO paragraph for the reason described above. I added a clarifying sentence on SSO vs. CSO, deleted several incorrect references to CSO documents, and added some SSO document references. Also clarified the circumstances of EPA's 2004 estimate of costs for possible SSO abatement. Note: the "Federal Government" (as mentioned in an earlier edit of this article) did not call for expenditure of the $88 billion; EPA merely provided a cost estimate as directed by Congress. As of 2008, neither EPA nor Congress has supported such expenditures. Moreau1 (talk) 04:00, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
