[edit]iv added the source for my tax break addition--Whywhywhy 06:26, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
- Have changes been made since that report (which was 2001) and what is different? The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Australia which goes under the business name of Australasian Conferencing Association has been incorporated since then and now Sanitarium is owned by a separate business, Australian Health and Nutrition Association. This makes me suspicious that changes have occured. Anyone have any clues? MyNameIsNotBob 00:15, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure it does get some tax cuts. However, it does not support the church in Australia - it supports it in the Pacific islands. -Colin MacLaurin 14:55, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
- Please look more closely into the tax exemption issue, as in Australia at least, the tax exemption is likely to stem from the company being owned by a socially benevolent incorporated association, which can be either religious or non-religious. What is important is to obtain and read the Articles of Incorporation for the incorporated associations, and find out what the Objects of the Associations are. Fair use rationale for Image:Sanitarium brand.gif
[edit]Image:Sanitarium brand.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Sanitarium Products List Incorrect
[edit]Weetabix is listed as a Sanitarium product in the UK and USA - they don't make it and do not own the Brand Name - The Weetabix Company Limited in the UK is teh owner of the brand- and are not associated with Sanitarium. The Sanitarium product is Weet-Bix. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weetabix_Limited There are current issues in New Zealand with Sanitarium blocking imports of Weetabix on the grounds that it infringes the Trademark they own (weet-bix)but they do not own, nor have they ever owned Weetabix. http://www.ipo.gov.uk/t-find-number?detailsrequested=C&trademark=2060869--202.174.163.135 (talk) 06:47, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
article biased??????????????
[edit]reading this article just seems like one big advertisement. there is a very small amount of information about the company, the bulk of the article is its brand names.

Article's Accusatory Tone
[edit]Does the opening paragraph of this article really need to be a huge bold statement about how the company does not pay tax? This seems to be a bit accusatory and biased. Surely the opening paragraph and general lead in should be a statement about who and what the Sanitarium is, not a statement about its tax exempt status??? HappyGod (talk) 07:54, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- That was recent vandalism. I've just removed it. Also in the future please put new conversations at the bottom of talk page, not the top. :) Freikorp (talk) 12:07, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- I've moved it into correct sequence. Bjenks (talk) 14:44, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
company name
[edit]sanitarium in the US means an insane asylum or mental hospital! does it not carry the same meaning in the UK or Oz?
