This article could benefit from dedicating a separate section to Berman's social justice work. His involvement with the ALA's Hunger, Homelessness, and Poverty Task Force and Social Responsibility Round Table are other contributions to critical librarianship outside of his advocacy for alternative subject headings. Also, this article could be improved by including a few updates about Berman from the last 7 years. For example, last year he received the Tom Oye Award.
