Politicaly linked interference in articles
[edit]User 'Mario scolas', a member of the Socialist Party (PS) in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek's mayor Philippe Moureaux's (also PS) municipality, makes a big case of whether the name of the place where leading Flemish movement member Szondi died, must be put in Dutch or French in his article. As the municapility officially ought to be bilingual (although the mayor does not respect the bilingual character of the municipality) and out of respect for what anti-imperialist Szondi achieved in taking the defense of a linguistic group pretty much living in the same conditions as the Tibetans onder Han-Chinese rule, I prefer to put the name of the municipality in it's ORIGINAL Dutch version, as the municipality was once a Flemish Brabant village. The fact that 90 % or even more of the population have French as their 'working language' (even if this language is not their mother tongue) is not important to me in this case. In Los Angeles more than 90 % of the population has English as their 'working language', nevertheless the Americans never made a big fuss about the fact that the name of Los Angeles is Spanish, nor did they with San Francisco. Please, can't you see how narrow minded this person is !--BogaertB 15:24, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

AND : more than 95 % of the population in this town is French-speaking
Not true
[edit]Only a small percentage of the population has French as their mother tongue, while the municipality has, as most municipalities in the Brussels Region, a huge number of immigrants. But this is not even the point. See Los Angeles and San Francisco, and compare this respect for history to French imperialism. No more comment--BogaertB 15:32, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
