Worldwide view?
[edit]I tagged the article with the worldwide box, because, as far as I know, Sandite is also used in the US, and presumably other countries as well, so the UK specific-ness of this article should be expanded. oknazevad (talk) 18:06, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
- It's also being used in the Netherlands (see the website of the Dutch railway maintenance organisation). Mtcv (talk) 13:17, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
- Added example in US http://web.mta.info/lirr/Video/SlipperyRail/index.htm or could site to here http://thelirrtoday.blogspot.com/2013/10/slip-slide-season.html 72.10.194.52 (talk) 03:47, 30 October 2013 (UTC)
- Now a referenced bit about Belgium, too. Time to remove the box? Jan olieslagers (talk) 18:22, 22 November 2019 (UTC)
Interesting links
[edit]Found these while checking accuracy of today's edits:
- Sandite entry in Ellis' British Rail Engineering Encyclopaedia
- Hansard -- Railway Noise -- 28 Jan 1998 (earliest ref that I found)
These are of more relevance at slippery rail (where I placed a copy) but also apply to Sandite:
