Dear Contributors: this is the translation, as asked by the author of the Sanda Mamic article

A young Croatian tennis player, born in Zagreb in 1985, has had many problems with her wrist, and it has seemed to be an 'ordinary' sports injury which just needed to be healed and continue the training. Sanda has, at that point, been within the top 100 on the ATP list, and has had the misfortune to dissapear from the tennis world...

Her ranking has been protected for 10 months, in case of the return, which has seemed unlikely. After the hand surgery there have been many mishaps and medical issues, which even involved a susspision of an exotic bacteria destroying her wrist, and a liver problem.

During the past 16 months, Sanda has been trying to resolve the health problems, but has had very little hope to return to the world of proffesional tennis. She is currently employed as a web designer in a Croatian company, keeping her spirit up.

Recent information show she has returned to constant training, and aspires to get on the top, once again.
