Lead

[edit]
  • The United States shouldn't be linked per MOS:OVERLINK
    • Forgot to note here, fixed as well.

Background

[edit]
  • "The Sammarinesi delegation consisted of a single alpine skier, Gian Matteo Giordani. Giordani was selected" - try not to have the last word of a sentence start the next one like this.
    • Changed the wording around here.
  • Is there any source that states who was the flag bearer for the closing ceremony? If so, please add it in.
    • The only source I found was this release ([1]), which unfortunately has an error and cuts off after Iceland's flag bearer. Because I couldn't find any alternative source (and because of the way the closing ceremony's march of nations works), I wasn't able to find anything listing him at the closing ceremony.
  • "He was the only athlete competing for San Marino at the 2002 games." - games need to be capitalized
    • Fixed.

Alpine skiing

[edit]
  • "Giordani finished in 57th place overall, leaving him in last place among competitors that successfully completed the course and placed." - missing where Gordiani was placed overall and his combined times need to be written out in prose
    • Fixed.

References

[edit]
  • Ref 4 should be italized since TIME is a printed publiciation
    • Fixed.

Only the minor quibbles from me stand in the way of this article being promoted to GA status. MWright96 (talk) 18:35, 22 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the review, @MWright96:! I've addressed all your comments except the closing ceremony note per my response above. Let me know if you have any other edits or concerns! Nomader (talk) 23:06, 22 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Nomader: It's understandable if there is no information about the flag bearers for the closing ceremony as that can be difficult to find. Regardless, this article can now become a good article. MWright96 (talk) 06:48, 23 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
